
On Friday evening local charity PSALMS packed out the Stroud Subscription Rooms for an evening showcasing and celebrating the young people they work with.
PSALMS recently completed a review of work currently being done in and through churches with children 0-11 years, based on 70 encounters with church leaders and children’s workers from all denominations, and on visits to local children’s and family events run by Christians between Autumn 2010 and Spring 2011.
Since September 2010 PSALMS minister Odele has been mentoring some students at Maidenhill School. This work is developing and there are now three volunteers helping to mentor young people there. Here Odele interviews one of her mentees, Rachel.

Calling all those involved in leading or helping with youth work! On the 14th May Pete Wynter is coming to Stroud to help equip and develop youth leaders talking about, mentoring, developing young leaders and effective discipleship. Through his work with OneLife Pete is working with churches throughout the UK in helping them develop leadership in young people. He has declined opportunities to speak at major Christian festivals this year and are blessed that he is keen to visit Sunny Stroud!
